TERMS AND CONDITIONS OF ENROLMENT FOR PAID COURSES

PLEASE READ THESE CAREFULLY

For Zoom Workshop Terms and Conditions please scroll to the bottom.

1.           The Writers Bureau Pledge. For the fees quoted The Writers Bureau will supply the full course and all the services described in the prospectus.

2.           Instalment Payments. You agree to pay your instalments promptly each month to Manchester as they fall due irrespective of the speed at which you study. If you fail to pay an instalment within one calendar month of the due date then the full outstanding balance becomes due immediately. If you fail to settle this outstanding balance within a further calendar month then you automatically forfeit all rights under the Guarantee below unless an extended payment period has been agreed between us prior to the default. Therefore if there is any danger of instalment payments being delayed please write to us. The Writers Bureau will treat all deserving cases as sympathetically as possible. Payment of instalments by debit or credit card will eliminate any possibility of penalties under this clause. This clause does not apply to students who pay their fees in full on enrolment.

3.           Course Cancellation. If you wish to cancel your course you must let us know within 15 days of enrolling. If you do not cancel the course within the 15-day trial period, you agree to pay your fees in full. Course cancellations after the initial trial period are at The Writers Bureau’s discretion and will only be considered in exceptional circumstances.

4.           Time Limit. This agreement lasts for one year. If you wish to extend your studies beyond one year, an extra charge will be made for administration and access to the online course materials and community.

5.           Copyright. The Writers Bureau course is protected by copyright. You agree not to copy, reproduce or broadcast the course or part of the course and not to allow any other person to read or use the course or any portion of it nor offer it for re-sale in any way whatsoever.

6.           The Writers Bureau’s Rights. The Writers Bureau reserves the right to refuse to accept any applications for enrolment. We also reserve the right to discontinue tuition for any student who (in our opinion) does not have sufficient aptitude to complete the course. In such cases all fees paid will be refunded on return of the course materials.

7.           Your Data Rights: The Writers Bureau do not share your information with any other person or organisation except as required by UK law. All reasonable precautions are taken to prevent unauthorised access to this information. This safeguard may require you to provide additional forms of identity should you wish to obtain information about your account details. 8.           Your Pledge. You agree to follow your Tutor’s advice; to study the course conscientiously in order to give it a fair chance to help you, and let us know of any success you achieve.

9.      YOUR NO-RISK DOUBLE GUARANTEE

(i)                        You have the full course on 15-day inspection trial when you enrol. If you cancel it by emailing our Manchester office within 15 days of enrolling any money you have paid will be returned in full. This period will only be extended by request in advance.

(ii)                      We will pay you £10 for every written assignment which is not properly corrected by your tutor. Failing agreement between us we both agree to accept independent arbitration as binding. This is in addition to any refund you may claim in clause (a) above.
